you don't need to machine the lower plenum...that's the entire point of the 300degree rails, to accept the newer style injectors with a simple bolt on the only time you need to machine the lower plenum is if you are using the 95+ rails and newer injectors... so which do you have? 300degree rails? or the 95+ rails? here, straight from 300degree's site: A common upgrade is to install the newer style pintle-less OEM injectors on an earlier model Z32 replacing the pintle type injectors. In the past, the labor required to complete this conversion involved not only removing the intake manifold to access the fuel rail and injectors, but removal of the timing belt and most of the front of the engine to remove the lower intake. The lower intake is then removed and sent off for machining to accept the later style fuel rail. We developed our rails to make this upgrade simpler. We avoid all the additional labor and downtime. Our rail will adapt the pintle-less injectors to the early style lower intake directly.
